Miseba — Privacy Policy

Miseba is a Shopify app, operated by Jhiki, that lets merchants show short videos as shoppable, Instagram-style story bubbles and cards on their storefront. This policy explains what data the app processes and why. Miseba is designed to be privacy-first: it uses no cookies on the storefront and never collects personal information about shoppers.
1. Data we process
Merchant & store data. When you install Miseba we store your shop domain and the Shopify access tokens needed to authenticate the app with the Shopify Admin API. We also store the content you create in the app — video metadata, stories, targeting rules, product associations, and app settings. Uploaded video files are hosted on Cloudflare Stream.
Storefront analytics. To show you engagement stats, Miseba records aggregate, cookieless counters only: per-video, per-day counts of impressions, views, completions, and product clicks. These counters contain no cookies, no visitor or device identifiers, and no personal data. We cannot identify or track an individual shopper.
What we do not collect. Miseba does not collect shoppers’ names, email addresses, postal addresses, order contents, or payment information.
2. How we use data
We use the data above solely to operate the app: to authenticate with Shopify, resolve the products shown in your videos, serve your stories on the storefront, and display aggregate engagement statistics to you. We do not use it for profiling or automated decision-making about shoppers.
3. Sub-processors
- Shopify — the platform your store and this app run on.
- Cloudflare (Stream) — hosting and delivery of your uploaded videos.
- Railway — application hosting and the database that stores your app content.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. Data is shared only with the sub-processors listed above, strictly to provide the service.
5. Retention & deletion
We keep your app data for as long as Miseba is installed. Analytics are aggregate counters tied to your shop and are purged together with the rest of your shop’s data. We honor Shopify’s mandatory compliance webhooks:
customers/data_requestandcustomers/redact— a no-op, because Miseba holds no shopper personal data.shop/redact— we permanently delete your stories, videos, settings, analytics, and product associations, and remove the hosted video files.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by uninstalling the app or by contacting us at the address below.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
Because Miseba processes no shopper personal data, there is no shopper-level data to access, correct, or export. As a merchant, you may request access to or deletion of your store’s app data by contacting us. If you are in the EU/EEA, Jhiki acts as a data processor for the app content you store through Miseba.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
